Beaumont House

Determined to achieve the prestigious Enerphit certification, the owners of this charming 1930s detached house embarked on a comprehensive renovation and extension project. A spacious L-shaped addition was thoughtfully integrated at the rear, creating a sprawling open-plan kitchen, dining, and cozy snug area, complete with a lightweight glazed corner window that seamlessly blends the interior with the lush, landscaped gardens beyond.
The entire roof was replaced with a striking contemporary hipped zinc design, culminating in a magnificent master bedroom that overlooks the rear garden. Clad in warm, textured Douglas fir, the exterior offers a delightful contrast to the sharp, modern lines of the roof and dormer, overall resulting in a harmonious fusion of old and new.
Ben was project architect whilst working for Gresford Architects and oversaw the development of the project from initial concept to practical completion.
