Oxhill House

Situated on a former brownfield agricultural site, Oxhill House is a meticulously designed, low-energy home that seamlessly blends into its rural surroundings. Inspired by the region's agricultural traditions and with a mid-century influence, the single-story dwelling features two barn-like volumes connected by a central, single-story element with a roof terrace. This thoughtful layout allows the two main volumes to capture and frame the breathtaking views of the encompassing farmland and woodland beyond.

Maintaining a low-lying profile and utilising a palette of natural materials, the house effortlessly integrates into its farmland setting, having only a minimal visual impact. This harmonious fusion of architectural influences and environmental sensitivity results in a truly striking, yet sensitively sited family home.

Ben was project architect whilst working for Gresford Architects and oversaw the development of the project from initial concept to planning approval.
